BOC Extends Accreditation of Stakeholders Amidst Enhanced Community Quarantine

Press Release – March 20, 2020

As concerns grow regarding stakeholder accreditation amidst the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the Bureau of Customs (BOC) issued on March 19 a memorandum extending the accreditation of stakeholders who were unable to process their renewal papers due to the imposed quarantine.

Under the memorandum, the extension shall include Importers, Customs Brokers, SGL Importers, Customs Bonded Warehouses, Customs Facilities and Warehouses and other third parties transacting and accredited by the Bureau.

The memo further clarifies that stakeholders with expired accreditation during the quarantine period shall be given one (1) month from the lifting of the ECQ to submit their application for accreditation renewal.

The Bureau is one with nation in combating the spread of COVID-19. The agency further assures its stakeholders that during these trying times, the BOC shall do everything it can to provide assistance and ensure continuity of service and operations.
