Benigno Aquino, president of the Philippines, has arrived in Beijing on a mission to repair relations with China, which have soured amid increased tensions in the South China Sea and Manila’s anti-corruption drive.
The president, on his first visit to China since winning the 2010 election, is travelling with 270 businessmen in a sign of the visit’s focus on boosting trade and investment between the Philippines and the world’s second biggest economy
