We are pleased to invite you to the ECCP Forum on Renewable Energy “Moving Forward with Renewable Energy: Opportunities & Challenges” on 7 December at the New World Hotel.
The forum aims to establish a regular platform for discussing opportunities and challenges in the Philippine RE Sector and for sharing best practices as well as experiences among stakeholders. For 2011, we are focusing on perspectives from RE end-users, developers, technology and finance providers as well as technical cooperation partners with the goal of identifying opportunities and addressing challenges to move forward with renewable energy.
We have organized the discussion to cover the following topics:
- Lessons Learned from RE Projects – Resource speakers from RE organizations and companies will discuss their experiences in rolling out RE projects in the Philippines, particularly wind, solar, hydro and bioenergy. They will also share their insights on the benefits gained, the challenges encountered, the opportunities for investments and business cooperation as well as recommendations on how to make RE business more viable.
- Economically Viable Application of Best Available Technologies – Resource speakers will discuss the business and technical viability of existing state-of-the-art RE technologies to encourage their uptake and make them competitive vis-à-vis conventional energy sources.
- Understanding RE Project Financing – Resource speakers from international and local financial organizations will discuss issues on RE financing and present the various RE Financing Programs available to stakeholders.
The forum will also provide delegates with an excellent opportunity to network with representatives from the RE developers, technology and service providers, government, financial institutions, international organizations, among others.
We hope that you will find time to join us in this event. To register, please contact Ms. Jasmin Runez by e-mail ([email protected]) or call (+632) 8451324.
