DPWH lists 10 priority road projects till 2022

The remaining projects are awaiting approval of the National Economic Development Authority Investment Coordination Committee (NEDA-ICC).
Projects in advance stage are the P11.98-billion Central Luzon Link Expressway (CLLEX) Phase 2 , the P44.6-billion North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) East Phase II and the P28.1-billion Metro Cebu Expressway operation and maintenance project.
The projects under feasibility studies are the Davao-Digos expressway,Mindoro-Batangas super bridge (floating bridge), Delpan-Pasig-Marikina expressway, Batangas Cit-Bauan, Batangas Toll Road project and Pacific Eastern Seaboard Expressway.
Mark Villar, DPWH secretary, said the feasibility study for the 220-kilometer (km.) Quezon-Bicol Expressway has been completed.
“The ICC requisite documents were submitted to NEDA for review and approval. Once completed, travel time between Tayabas, Quezon and San Fernando, Camarines Sur will be reduced by two hours,” Villar said.
The NLEX-East Phase II a 91.10-km 4 lane expressway which consists of four segments with segment 1 spanning from Bigte-San Miguel Biak na Bato Road in Gapan City up to Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija.
Metro Cebu Expressway is a 73.75-km. high-standard arterial road planned to meet Metro Cebu’s existing and future traffic demand. The project will serve as another north-south backbone highway.
CLLEX Phase I is a 30-km. expressway from Tarlac City to Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija. Once completed, travel time will be reduced from 70 minutes to 20 minutes.
The 4.1-km. Tarlac section will be opened this month.
