Welcome to the Philippine government. You don’t have to be crazy to work there, but it will help if you are. The attempt to be funny is done to drive home the point that without a sense of humor, you run the risk of losing some of your sanity. The things that follow portray a pessimistic and cynical view of what private sector executives encounter when they work in government. The job can be fulfilling but a lot more challenging. It isn’t all that bad and you can actually get some things done. However, extreme care must be taken at all times.
