Edgar O. Chua, is an Independent Director of First Gen, Integrated MicroElectronics Inc., Metrobank, PHINMA Corp, PhilCement and JG Summit Olefins Corp, and served as an Independent Director of EDC until 2021. He is on the advisory boards of Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation and Coca Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc., and is the CEO of Amber Kinetics Inc. He sits on the boards of several schools, business organisations and foundation, e.g. Chairman of the Makati Business Club, President of De La Salle Philippines, Chairman of the Philippine Eagle Foundation.
Ed Chua was Country Chairman of the Shell Companies in the Philippines from 2003 to 2016, responsible for the exploration, manufacturing, and marketing sectors of the petroleum business, and oversaw the chemicals businesses and shared services.
He is a recipient of numerous local and international recognitions such as MAP’s Management Man of the Year, CEO of the Year in the Asia Pacific SABRE and Global Filipino Executive of the Year by Asia CEO. Mr. Chua is Chemical Engineering graduate from De La Salle University and attended the senior management course in INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. He was conferred Doctor of Humanities Honoris Causa by De La Salle Araneta University.
