Bobby is a third- generation chemical professional, born to a family of chemists, chemical engineers and manufacturing entrepreneurs. He is a leading advocate for Sustainable Industrial Development and thought leader on Philippine manufacturing.

He is the former Philippine Country Manager of Dow Chemical, a global material science company, where he held various regional positions including Asia Pacific Commercial Excellence Leader, Sales & Marketing Director for Southeast Asia, Australia & New Zealand. He is a US-trained and Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt and led projects in the US, Canada, Spain, Japan and China.

He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Philippines, Diliman, and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Asian Institute of Management.

Bobby advocated for industry and sustainable development through leadership roles in the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, the Samahan sa Pilipinas ng mga Industriyang Kimika (SPIK), the Federation of Philippine Industries (FPI) and and the Management Association of the Philippines.

He advises industry groups, the academe, the research community and government on industry development, sustainable chemistry, plastic circularity and the bio-based economy. He authors an advocacy website called Philippine Manufacturing Revisited to raise awareness on the strategic importance of manufacturing in the Philippines.
