Atty. Cinderella Filipina S. Benitez-Jaro is the Executive Director of the Commission on Higher Education. Prior to her re-appointment as Executive Director, she served as the Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Executive Director from July 2018, concurrent with her position as Director of the Legal and Legislative Service (LLS). She was also designated as the Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Executive Director of the Unified Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST) Secretariat.

Aside from her current designation, Atty. Jaro serves as the Chair of the following Technical Working Groups: Flexible Learning Guidelines for Higher Education Institutions and Smart Campuses Development for State Universities and Colleges. She was appointed to the service of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary Executive Squadron with the Honorary Rank of Auxiliary Commodore.

As the Executive Director, she serves as the head of the Commission Secretariat and oversees the overall implementation and operations of the CHED Central and Regional Offices. She ensures that all units are pursuing a common road map, consistent with the Commission’s reform agenda and strategic plan. The Office of the Executive Director also serves as the clearing house of all communications received from internal and external stakeholders.
