One of the five professions restricted to Philippine nationals by law is environmental planning, a law passed in 1978. In the current Congress, the House has passed on 3rd reading HB1401 which updates the law and contains reciprocity provisions for foreign nationals.
On Aug. 3, 2011, the Joint Foreign Chambers (JFC) of the Philippines submitted its statement of conditional support on the subject legislation to Senator Trillanes, Chairman of the Senate Civil Service Committee.
