In this letter dated October 3, 2011 and addressed to Congressman Andres Salvacion, Jr., Chairman of the Committee on Civil Service and Professional Regulation, the American Chamber of Commerce (a JFC member) expressed its support for policies geared towards a level playing field for Filipino and foreign businesses. The letter reiterates the importance of keeping the reciprocity provision in bills that repeal or amend existing laws regulating the practice of the following professions: Medicine, Midwifery, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Social Work, and Criminology.
