Palace urges better aviation capabilities

MALACAÑANG said yesterday that the country must improve its aviation capabilities to Category 1 status based on standards of the United States Federal Aviation Authority (FAA) to reach the targeted 10 million tourist arrivals by 2016.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda said that the Palace is “concerned” over the lack of progress in the country’s aviation upgrades, even after a technical review was conducted in January.
