AMCHAM Statement on EO No. 108

The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (AmCham Philippines) welcomes the issuance of Executive Order No. 108, noting that it strengthens coordination across government agencies and reinforces a clear and predictable framework for economic policy and investment promotion.

AmCham expressed its support for Finance Secretary Frederick Go’s continued leadership of the Economic Development Committee (EDCom), particularly in maintaining oversight over investments and the Strategic Investment Priorities Plan (SIPP). The Chamber emphasized that continuity in investment oversight is essential to aligning fiscal policy, incentives, and national development priorities.

The Chamber also cited Secretary Go’s keynote message during the Sector Roundtable: Powering the Philippines’ Competitiveness in Hyperscale and Digital Infrastructure, where the importance of fiscal discipline was underscored as a foundation for strong investor confidence in governance, policy formulation, and the country’s overall economic direction.

AmCham Philippines reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the government to support reforms that enhance competitiveness, attract high-quality investments, and promote sustainable economic growth.
