Mon Abrea is a global tax policy expert and the Chief Tax Advisor of the Asian Consulting Group (ACG), the Philippines’ premier tax advisory fi rm. A Harvard – educated thought leader and Oxford-trained tax advocate, he recently completed the executive Tax Policy Program at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy, further strengthening his leadership in advancing equitable and effi cient tax reforms—especially in developing and emerging economies.
Recognized as the leading voice for genuine tax reform in the Philippines, Mon works with policymakers, international organizations, and foreign investors to modernize tax systems, lower compliance burdens, attract sustainable investments, and empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). His policy advocacy centers on building fair, transparent, and growth-oriented tax ecosystems aligned with global standards. He is also the author of the Reimagining the World book series, a bold call to action for a world without corruption, climate change, and poverty—through the lens of global tax and economic policy. He is currently completing the fi nal volume focused on inclusive strategies to eradicate poverty while leading high-level investment briefi ngs and launching his climate-focused publication across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australia to promote ESG investing and sustainable development in the Philippines.
