Ms. Eries Cagatan has been with the Board of Investments for more than 30 years now. She is currently BOI’s Executive Director for Investments Promotion Services, catering to both domestic and international investors. She has almost 17 years of well-rounded experience in BOI’s industry and business development work having handled manufacturing, agro-based, infrastructure and services sectors.
Concurrently, she is the Head Secretariat of the Inter-agency Investments Promotion Coordination Committee, created under the Amended Foreign Investments Act to integrate all promotion and facilitation efforts to encourage foreign investments in the Philippines. She also chairs the Philippine Investment Promotion Plan (PIPP) Technical Working Group comprised of the 20 Investments Promotion Agencies (IPAs) in the country.
Ms. Cagatan graduated with a BS Chemical Engineering degree from the University of the Philippines in Diliman and passed the Chemical Engineering Licensure Examination, right after graduation. A scholar of the Philippine Civil Service Commission, she earned her Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Ateneo de Manila University Graduate School of Business. She also had her Training for Regional Investments Promotion in Germany as a Carls Duisberg Gesselschaft (CDG) scholar.
In 2022, she was a recipient of the DTI Secretary’s Award for her accomplishments in ensuring Medical Oxygen Supply during the Delta Wave of the COVID-19 Pandemic and was recognized as among DTI’s Top Executives in the same year.
She is happily married with four (4) children.
